Go Vandals! My name is Jeremy Whitten and I am excited to be joining the Van Junior High staff as the Assistant Principal for the 2019-2020 school year. I have been in education for fifteen years and have a passion for student academic growth and improving instruction.

I believe that every student has the right to the best education that they can receive and that is what we are providing at Van Junior High School. Our staff has spent the summer preparing for the 2019-2020 school year and we are committed to making this year a success for all of our students.

Our goal is for our students to be highly prepared for both college and the modern employment field before they leave Van ISD. We set high expectations for our students and with those expectations comes a promise of commitment from our staff to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment for them to learn. No Excuses!

I am looking forward to this school year and I am thankful for the opportunity to be serving the needs of our students and our community.
