VANDAL SERVICE DAY

WHAT IS VANDAL SERVICE DAY?
Vandal Service Day is a student volunteer event designed to commemorate and express our sincere gratitude in remembrance of all who came to our aid through an incredible outpouring of support after a devastating tornado struck our school and community on May 10, 2015. Through service-oriented projects, Vandal Service Day fosters unity between our school and community as students come together to express their gratitude and show their selfless spirit to the communities of Van ISD. Conducted near the anniversary of the tornado, Vandals will serve in the spirit of "Looking Back...Moving Forward."
PURPOSE
From raking yards, planting trees, weeding flowerbeds, to hauling away debris, Vandal Service Day will unite students with community members in need. When Vandal Service Day began, many of the projects were carried out in the spirit of 'Looking Back' to help repair damage done by the tornado; however now, projects are done in the spirit of 'Moving Forward' to help any community member in need.
