Van Intermediate School is thrilled to announce Mrs. Kelli Airheart as the 2023- 2024 Teacher of the Year for our campus!
In one of her nominations, the comment was made that, "Mrs. Airheart is such a positive light on our campus who always goes above and beyond to make sure kids are successful!"
Mrs. Moore, VIS principal, said, "Kelli Airheart is an exceptional educator, going the extra mile every day to ensure her students are supported and valued. Her dedication and compassion make her a true champion for our students. We are blessed that she is part of Van Intermediate School!”
As the drum line, cheerleaders, and district/campus administrators made their way down the hallway, Mrs. Airheart was clapping along to the beat, never suspecting all the commotion was for her! She was more than surprised when the entourage stopped at her classroom, surprising her with a bouquet of flowers from our high school floral design students, a yard sign, a plaque, and a $1,000 check from the Van ISD Education Foundation!
We are thankful to have Mrs. Airheart representing the VIS campus as Teacher of the Year!
