It looks like freezing temps and possible precipitation are heading our way next week. Please be weather aware and stay tuned to district communications for updates. We will be closely monitoring the forecast and will notify parents in a timely manner if it becomes necessary to delay or close school.

Christmas Break is right around the corner! 🎄 Tomorrow, December 19th, will be a 3-hour early release day. January 4th and 5th will be Staff Development Days, and classes will resume on Monday, January 8th! Have a safe break & a MERRY CHRISTMAS, Van ISD! 🎅
VIS Families: If you plan to attend your student's Christmas Brunch on Tuesday, December 19th, come on down to the VIS office any day before and get your visitor badge early to avoid the line! This way, you'll go straight through the "Fast Lane"! Families will be allowed in classrooms at 8:55 AM. See you soon! 🎄
'Tis the season to be JOLLY! 🎄 The VIS Christmas Store will be open every day Dec 11-15th during recess times. Students will be allowed to come shop for items for their family, wrap the gifts and take them home to put under the tree! 🎁 This is a fun way for students to count money, budget, and give to their loved ones during the holiday season! Items range from $1-$10. Students are NOT required to participate! Happy Holidays!! 🎄❄️🎅🏻

As promised, the annual Vandal Bonfire has been rescheduled!!! 🔥🔥 The bonfire will be tomorrow, November 7th at 6:30 PM in the field across from J.E. Rhodes Elementary and the Administration Building. We can't wait to celebrate this Vandal tradition with everyone! 🤩
