student in science lab with frog

Seventh grade students in Mrs. Coffelt’s and Coach Cheney’s science classes recently stepped into the role of junior biologists as they participated in a hands-on frog dissection lab. This engaging activity allowed students to explore the internal anatomy of amphibians and make real-world connections to the body systems they’ve been studying in class.

Students identified organs such as the heart, liver, lungs, and stomach, gaining a deeper understanding of how these systems work together to support life. The dissection experience sparked curiosity, encouraged thoughtful questions, and gave students a unique opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a memorable and meaningful way.
