Our students at Van Junior High are celebrating a district championship at the UIL One-Act Play competition after an outstanding performance of "Still Life with Iris" by both the cast and crew.
Several students also earned individual honors for their hard work and talent. Harmony Hooks received Best Performer, Blake Boyd was named to the All-Star Cast, Claire Calloway earned an Honorable Mention, and Ayleigh Clayton was recognized as All-Star Tech for her behind-the-scenes contributions.
The team’s award-winning production represents months of practice, creativity, and teamwork. Students poured their hearts into every detail, and it showed on competition day.
The community is invited to see the District Championship performance when Van Junior High presents Still Life with Iris on January 9 at 6:00 PM in the VISD Auditorium. Admission is "Donate What You Can", and everyone is encouraged to come support these talented students.
