🌟STUDENT STAAR SCORES ARE AVAILABLE IN SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS!!!🌟 Follow these steps to view your child's STAAR scores: 1️⃣ If you're using the app, choose to open Skyward Family Access in BROWSER (or on a desktop) 2️⃣ Slide your view all the way to the right, and select "District Links" 3️⃣ Select "Staar Scores" from the dropdown menu If you have multiple children enrolled in Van ISD, a link to each student's scores will pop up here, as long as you have "All Students" selected.

Parents, please check out these reminders from our nurses as we start the new school year! In order for us to take the best possible care of your child during the day, please make sure that the nurse on your child's campus has the following items: 1. Up to date shot record, or an exemption form completed & notarized 👉 All new students must have this before the first day of school 👉 All incoming 7th graders must have Tdap and Meningitis (MCV4) 2. Doctor orders and action plans if your child has a health issue, such as Diabetes, Seizures, Asthma, etc. 👉 Orders must be renewed every year & signed by a doctor 👉 Action Plans must also be revised/updated every year & signed by doctor, parent, nurse 👉 Current and viable contact phone numbers are needed 👉 A meeting with your child's campus nurse may give you extra peace of mind 3. All medications that your child may take during school hours 👉 Must be in original bottle 👉 Must be labeled (correct student name, medication, dose, and when to administer) 👉 Authorization forms must be completed and signed for each medication 👉 All medical supplies your child might use during the school day If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's campus nurse. 🚨 7TH GRADE IMMUNIZATION REMINDER 🚨 All immunizations listed below MUST be completed before the first date of attendance! Your child may have already received these immunizations. If so, please provide the school nurse with an updated copy of your child's immunization record. If not, please make an appointment with your child's physician, The Department of Health Clinic in Tyler, or submit an affidavit for exemption. REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS BEFORE ENTERING 7TH GRADE: - 1 Dose of Tdap Vaccine if at least 5 years have passed since the last dose - 1 Dose of Meningococcal Vaccine done no earlier than 11th birthday - 2 Doses of Varicella Vaccine OR proof that your child had the illness (month and year your child had chicken pox written by parent/guardian will suffice) Please send a copy of these immunizations to the school nurse as soon as possible, and feel free to call for any assistance needed. Incoming 7th graders and any 8th graders that did not previously participate in athletics are REQUIRED to have a physical on file before school starts in order to practice!! 👉Athletes may bring physicals on the day of equipment pickup or on the 1st day of school The VJH coaching staff is looking forward to a promising year in Vandal Athletics!!
