Van Middle School students came together on Tuesday, November 11th, for the school’s annual Veterans Day Program — a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who have served our country.
Students in grades 4–6 performed a variety of patriotic songs, including a powerful sign language rendition of the National Anthem that captivated the audience. Special guests included former Vandal and U.S. Army veteran Tracy Gore and retired U.S. Air Force veteran Harry Fontenot, who both shared inspiring messages about service, sacrifice, gratitude, and why we celebrate Veterans Day in the United States.
Each year, this meaningful event provides students with the opportunity to honor and learn from our nation’s heroes, and it continues to be one of the most anticipated traditions at Van Middle School.
