🌱 GROWING THE NEXT GENERATION OF FFA LEADERS! 🌱
It was a great day for Van FFA as our Van Junior High agriculture students participated in our annual Greenhand Camp! 💙💛
One of the best parts of FFA is watching leadership come full circle! Members of the Van High School FFA leadership team led this year’s camp, spending time with our junior high students through games, activities and plenty of fun while introducing them to the opportunities, traditions and leadership that come with being part of FFA.
Leading the way were our 2026–2027 VHS FFA officers:
💙 President — Langston Welch
💛 Vice President — Teaghan Reynolds
💙 Secretary — Zane Parker
💛 Treasurer — Alice Williams
💙 Reporter — Melody Hooks
💛 Sentinel — Bralynn White
💙 Student Advisor — Addison Rainey
💛 Committee Chair — Hailee Landaverde
Our Greenhands also had an important job of their own — electing their 2026–2027 Greenhand Officers! 👏
Congratulations to:
🌱 President — Everr Solis
🌱 Vice President — Braelynn Hearne
🌱 Secretary — William Byrd
🌱 Treasurer — Kingston Hilliard
🌱 Reporter — Beau Dinkins
🌱 Sentinel — Flint Parker
🌱 Student Advisor — Kimber Crow
We’re excited to watch these students step into leadership and begin making their own mark on Van FFA!
A special thank you to our agriculture teachers Mrs. Schlottman, Mr. Batie, Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Fishman for investing in our students and helping provide experiences like Greenhand Camp that allow them to learn, connect and grow.
This year, our mission is “Lead the Legacy,” and Greenhand Camp was a perfect example of what that looks like — today’s leaders investing in tomorrow’s. 🌱
The legacy of Van FFA is in great hands! 💙💛

🏃♂️🏃♀️ FIRST MEET DOWN! ❤️
A great start to the season for Vandal Cross Country at Mineola last week!
The first meet always comes with a few nerves, but now we’ve got that one behind us. We are incredibly proud of the effort, determination, and fight our athletes showed on the course!
More importantly, we got our first look at some of our district competition. Now we know where we stand, we know what we need to work on, and it’s time to TRAIN HARD & RUN THEM DOWN! 💪🔥
One meet down. Plenty of work ahead. Let’s keep getting better!
📍 NEXT UP: SULPHUR SPRINGS
🏃 High School | Friday
🏃♀️ Junior High | Saturday

💛 WEAR YELLOW FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS 💛
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and on Wednesday, September 2, we’re asking Vandal Land to WEAR YELLOW. 🎗️
For us, this fight is close to home.
On Wednesday, let’s fill our campuses with yellow as a visible reminder that no child fights alone. We wear yellow to support every child fighting cancer, stand with their families, and raise awareness for all those impacted by childhood cancer.
💛 Vandal Land stands together.
🎗️ Wear Yellow. Raise Awareness. Support the Fight.
