Senior Isaiah Colorado represented Van ISD at the UIL State Track Meet in Austin this year, placing 8th in the 1600m run. While Isaiah has competed at the UIL State Cross Country Meet multiple times during his high school career, this marked his first appearance at the State level for track.
He earned his spot by running an impressive 4:21 in the 1600m at Regionals, making him the lone Vandal to qualify for the State Track Meet. After graduation, Isaiah will attend UT Tyler, where he has signed to run with their track team.
Qualifying for the UIL State Track Meet is no easy feat, and we are incredibly proud of Isaiah’s accomplishments. We wish him the best of luck as he begins this exciting new chapter!
