Van High School is proud to announce Mrs. Mandy Rolison as the 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year for our campus!

Mrs. Rolison’s passion for teaching and commitment to her students make her a standout educator at Van High School. In her English classroom, she consistently challenges students to think outside the box, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and a drive to be their very best.

One colleague shared, “Mandy is a standout teacher. She is always pushing her students to be the best they can be. She has them thinking outside the box and is always there to help a student whenever she can. She goes above and beyond for her students.

Her impact extends far beyond her classroom. Another nomination highlighted her positive influence across campus, sharing that “she also does the same for the staff at VHS. She is always there to lend a helping hand, boost morale among students and staff, and is not afraid to jump in and help when it is needed.”

The Van High School hallways were filled with excitement as the Vandal drum line, cheerleaders, and administrators surprised Mrs. Rolison with an acrylic plaque, a sign, and a $1,000 check from the Van ISD Education Foundation.

We are incredibly proud to have Mrs. Rolison represent Van High School as our Teacher of the Year. Her dedication, positivity, and servant leadership truly embody what it means to be a Vandal.
