New state laws mean we can’t provide even basic health services at school—like taking a temperature, applying a bandage, or giving an ice pack—without your permission.

⭐️ Emergency care will still be given if needed.

⭐️ To give consent, complete the Health Services Consent Form in your child’s online registration.

⭐️ Already registered? You STILL need to log in to Skyward Family Access and fill out this new form for each student.

These supplies will be waiting for students in their classrooms on the first day of school. 👉 Van ISD did NOT provide school supply lists to any retail stores. 🎒 Backpacks are NOT included in the free supplies.

🚨📱 New Cell Phone Law for Texas Students 📱🚨 A new state law will impact student cell phone use starting in the 2025–2026 school year. Texas House Bill 1481, signed by Governor Greg Abbott on June 20, 2025, includes the following: ⭐ Students may not use cell phones inside school buildings during instructional hours. ⭐ All Texas public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools must adopt and enforce policies to comply. Van ISD is currently reviewing our district policies to meet these new requirements. More details will be shared before the start of the school year so our families can prepare. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to provide the best possible learning environment for our students! ❤

REMINDER: The last day of school, Friday, May 23, 2025 will be an early release day to kick off Summer Break! ☀️ School will be dismissed 3 hours before regular dismissal time.

It's Graduation Week! 😍🎓 Make plans to celebrate our 2025 graduates this FRIDAY at 8:00 PM at Van Memorial Stadium! 🤩 The ceremony will be livestreamed on our YouTube and Facebook pages for those unable to attend! 🎥

Senior Night 2025 is May 15th at 7:00 PM in the Van ISD Auditorium, and all seniors and their families are invited to attend! This year's theme is "My Way". Please join us!

⚾️ Varsity Baseball Update!!! ⚾️ Game 2 is postponed until 2pm tomorrow, May 3rd. Game 3 will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 2.

Due to anticipated inclement weather this afternoon, all Van ISD campuses will release early today at 12:30 PM. Buses will also run at this time. The safety of our students, parents, teachers, and bus drivers is our top priority.

Seniors: This is just a reminder that the community service deadline for TJC Promise is approaching. The form will close on April 30th at 11:59 p.m. Please see Mrs. Wood with any questions!
