REMINDER: Monday, January 19th, is a school holiday.
Classes will resume Tuesday, January 20th. Have a safe three-day weekend, Vandals!

Due to a shortage of officials, we will be moving tonight's soccer games to WEDNESDAY!!

Varsity Girls will play at 5:30 PM, followed by Varsity Boys at 7:15 PM.

It might be over 60 degrees today, but we all know East Texas weather can change fast this time of year! 😅

With that in mind, now is a great time to remind families where to find the latest updates on potential school delays or closures in January and February. ❄️☃️🌨️

👉 Updates will be shared via text message and/or email, the Van ISD Facebook page, and the Live Feed section on the Van ISD website & mobile app.
👉 Make sure your contact information is up to date in Skyward Family Access to receive any closure or delay notices by text and/or email.

If you do not see a notice in any of these locations, classes will proceed as normal.

REMINDER: Friday, December 19, 2025, will be an early release day to kick off Christmas Break!
School will dismiss 3 hours before regular dismissal time.

Please review this information regarding Senate Bill 8.

Help us support one of our very own!❤️ This Wednesday, December 3rd, students can wear school-appropriate pajamas for $1 during our PJs for Mr. Peterson fundraiser. All proceeds will go directly to Mr. Peterson and his family as they navigate unexpected expenses after recent fire damage to their home. #WeAreVan

EARLY RELEASE FRIDAY: All Van ISD campuses will release 3 hours early on Friday, November 21st, due to the number of students and staff required to travel, and the need to use our Van ISD buses.

This schedule adjustment allows our buses to complete all afternoon routes before heading to Sulphur Springs for the playoff game.

🚨 Parents: We Need Your Consent for Health Services! 🚨

New state laws mean we can’t provide even basic health services at school—like taking a temperature, applying a bandage, or giving an ice pack—without your permission.

⭐️ Emergency care will still be given if needed.

⭐️ To give consent, complete the Health Services Consent Form in your child’s online registration.

⭐️ Already registered? You STILL need to log in to Skyward Family Access and fill out this new form for each student.

If you have any questions, please email kristen.williams@vanisd.org

Our goal is to keep every Vandal safe, healthy, and ready to learn—but we need your permission first. Thank you for taking a moment to complete the form! ❤️

🚨VHS Students, don’t forget to get your parking permits this week!🚨 Staff will be available from 8:30-12:00 and 1:30-3:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday for any students still needing a parking permit.
