🌟STUDENT STAAR SCORES ARE AVAILABLE IN SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS!!!🌟 Follow these steps to view your child's STAAR scores: 1️⃣ If you're using the app, choose to open Skyward Family Access in BROWSER (or on a desktop) 2️⃣ Slide your view all the way to the right, and select "District Links" 3️⃣ Select "Staar Scores" from the dropdown menu If you have multiple children enrolled in Van ISD, a link to each student's scores will pop up here, as long as you have "All Students" selected.

Parents, please check out these reminders from our nurses as we start the new school year! In order for us to take the best possible care of your child during the day, please make sure that the nurse on your child's campus has the following items: 1. Up to date shot record, or an exemption form completed & notarized 👉 All new students must have this before the first day of school 👉 All incoming 7th graders must have Tdap and Meningitis (MCV4) 2. Doctor orders and action plans if your child has a health issue, such as Diabetes, Seizures, Asthma, etc. 👉 Orders must be renewed every year & signed by a doctor 👉 Action Plans must also be revised/updated every year & signed by doctor, parent, nurse 👉 Current and viable contact phone numbers are needed 👉 A meeting with your child's campus nurse may give you extra peace of mind 3. All medications that your child may take during school hours 👉 Must be in original bottle 👉 Must be labeled (correct student name, medication, dose, and when to administer) 👉 Authorization forms must be completed and signed for each medication 👉 All medical supplies your child might use during the school day If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's campus nurse. Vandal Football Ad ORDER FORM Media Day is Aug. 11 7 a.m. Van Memorial Stadium ADS ARE DUE AT MEDIA DAY Support your Vandal with an ad in the Vandal Football Program. The ad payment is for the 2023-24 entire season, not per issue. Ads will run in the HOME GAME FOOTBALL PROGRAM. They may be changed each week, but you must have your ad in to the journalism department 10 DAYS before each home game. You may create your own ad. Please email as a PDF file to jgnuffsaid@yahoo.com. Resolution must be at least 300. If you use any design software make sure you have the license to print the ad. Also if you any profes- sional photographs from outside our department, you must have the copyright to those photographs. We will also be happy to create your ad for you. Congratulations to McKinley Weiss for earning the "Outstanding Performer" distinction at the 2023 Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition! 👏 Out of the approximately 100,000 students participating in the regional UIL music contests and the thousands of musicians who performed at the State-level, only 2% of solo performances earned the distinguished honor of being recognized as an Outstanding Performer.
