EARLY RELEASE FRIDAY: All Van ISD campuses will release 3 hours early on Friday, November 22nd due to the number of students and staff required to travel, and the need to use our Van ISD buses. This schedule adjustment allows our buses to complete all afternoon routes before heading to Mesquite for the playoff game.

Out of an abundance of caution, Van ISD will release all students 30 minutes early today, at 3:00 PM. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we want to ensure that we can get our bus riders and drivers home safely this afternoon.

Van ISD is currently monitoring the forecast for potential severe weather this afternoon. Our area is currently under a tornado watch until 6:00 PM. A decision will be made by 1:00 PM regarding a 3:00 PM release today. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we want to make sure that we can get our bus riders and drivers home safely this afternoon.
Please be weather aware and stay tuned to district communications for updates. If no announcement is made, dismissal will proceed as normal.
THURSDAY NIGHT GAME LOCATION UPDATE‼️🏈
9th grade will play Longview B Team at 7:00 PM at Longview Lobo Stadium.
JV will play North Lamar at 5:00 PM in North Lamar.
All junior high teams will still play at HOME.
UPDATE FOR THURSDAY'S FOOTBALL GAMES:
JV will play Terrell at Greenville at 6:30 PM.
No changes to the Freshman game - they will still play at Pittsburg at 5:00 PM.
Please note that all remaining varsity district football games will start at 7:00 PM instead of 7:30 PM! 🏈
REMINDER: Tonight's JV and 9th football games are flipped!!! JV will start at 5:00 PM and 9th will start 10 minutes after JV ends! 🏈

VHS student, Nikki Tompkins, is still receiving treatment in a Dallas hospital after her medical emergency a few weeks ago. To help her and her family out during this difficult time, we are organizing a district-wide "hat day" for this Thursday, September 26th. 🧢👒🎩
🤝 Students and staff can wear their favorite hat to school on Thursday for a $1 donation. If you wish to make a larger donation, please contact Van High School. Please turn in all donations to your child's campus.
