Van High School’s Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2024 has been MOVED UP to 6:00 PM due to the potential for severe weather later this evening. The safety of our students, staff, and guests is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility with this change. Van ISD Parents, We regret to inform you that one of our Van ISD families lost their home to a fire last weekend. This family has students on three of our campuses. To help them during this difficult time, we are organizing a "hat day" for this Friday, April 19th. 🧢👒🎩 🤝 Students and staff can wear their favorite hat to school on Friday for a $1 donation. 8th Grade Parents: Make plans to attend our CTE Showcase & Parent Night this Thursday, April 11, at 6:00 PM in the VHS Cafeteria! This will be a very important & informative meeting where VHS counselors will discuss CTE programs, course pathways, graduation plans & schedules for next year! 🎓 We hope to see you there!

Reminder: There is no school on Monday, April 8th, in response to safety and operational concerns surrounding the upcoming total solar eclipse! All Van ISD campuses & facilities will be closed until Tuesday, April 9th, including outdoor facilities. We look forward to seeing our students & staff on Tuesday morning!

In response to safety and operational concerns surrounding the upcoming total solar eclipse, Van ISD will close all campuses and buildings on Monday, April 8, 2024. This decision prioritizes the safety of our students and staff, and allows them to enjoy this rare event with their families. All Van ISD students will receive a pair of eclipse glasses on Friday, April 5, 2024. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.This closure will not extend the current school calendar or alter any existing scheduled breaks.

SENIORS: Please remember to turn in your baby photos, senior night photos, and yearbook ads to Mrs. Germany by the end of this week!

The calendar sets the first day of school to be on Thursday, August 15, 2024, and the last day of school/graduation ceremony as Friday, May 23, 2024.
