Students in Van High School’s Small Animal Management class are using creativity, teamwork, and service to make a difference in our county. Under the guidance of Mr. Johnson, Van FFA students recently transformed donated clothing into braided rope dog toys for the Canton Animal Shelter.
By recycling donated clothes, the class not only reduced waste but also created enrichment toys that will benefit animals awaiting adoption. This hands-on project allowed students to apply their classroom skills while giving back to a local organization. Experiences like this help reinforce responsibility, compassion, and real-world problem solving—key components of CTE learning.
Van ISD is proud of these students for using their knowledge to serve others and positively impact their community.
