The Van ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2024-2025 Academic Calendar during the February Board Meeting. The calendar sets the first day of school to be on Thursday, August 15, 2024, and the last day of school/graduation ceremony as Friday, May 23, 2024.

The Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing at UT Austin is seeking to collaborate with schools in our area to gather community feedback on the program, in hopes to further increase family engagement in student learning.

Due to weather & road conditions, all Van ISD schools and buildings will be closed tomorrow, January 16, 2024 and will operate on a 2 hour delay on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Due to the City of Van’s Stage Five Water Restrictions and the City’s request, Van ISD will close school Monday, January 8th through Wednesday, January 10th. The Van Junior High Basketball Tournament and the Pee Wee Basketball games scheduled for Saturday, January 6th have also been canceled. Van ISD will continue to monitor the situation and share any updates through social media and the parent alert system. For more information regarding Stage Five water use restrictions, please contact the City of Van Water Department, at (903) 963-7216.
