We want to make you aware of a widespread Skyward system outage that is currently impacting school districts across the region. Unfortunately, this outage is preventing us from opening student enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year as scheduled.
We sincerely apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience and understanding. We know many families are eager to complete enrollment, and our staff is ready to open the process as soon as Skyward restores service.

The Van ISD family was saddened to learn that Mrs. Peggy Allen, former receptionist at J.E. Rhodes Elementary, recently passed away.
Mrs. Allen greeted students, parents, staff, and visitors with kindness and warmth. Her patience and caring heart touched countless lives. She had a special gift for making every child feel important, valued, and loved, and her smile brightened the day of everyone who walked through the front doors.
The impact Mrs. Allen made on our school community will never be forgotten. We are grateful for the years she devoted to serving the students and families of Van ISD. Please join us in keeping her family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

I recently graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business. 💜💛 Geaux Tigers!
💼 PREVIOUS JOBS?
Before pursuing a career in education, I spent 13 years with Walmart, working in a variety of roles across the company—from distribution centers to retail locations.
🥾 FUN FACT?
I love to travel and have a goal of hiking in every national park! 🌲⛰️ My ultimate dream is to complete the Pacific Northwest Trail. 🥾✨
📚 HOBBIES?
I enjoy reading, playing video games with my brother, and traveling whenever I get the chance! 🎮📖✈️

I spent the past three years as a teacher and coach at Rains ISD. 🍎

My wife and I are expecting our first child this September! 💙🍼🎉
⛳ HOBBIES?
When I'm not at work, I enjoy golfing, spending time with my wife and our two wiener dogs, playing Xbox, working out, and fishing. 🎮🐶⛳💪🎣
